Today I Walk
my mind clear, spirit free. Putting aside a thought or two. I Walk.
Today I Walk
Today I walk my mind clear, spirit free. Putting aside a thought or two, I walk. The path where the lineage once travelled, now forgotten. Let the waves crash, all over me. Open my eyes, I'm still here. Taking my child with me, we go outside and play. Breaking free of cycles and circles, I swap the stale air for my mother's abode. Here I am free, of the vacant, the vacuous, and the burdens that insist they're mine. My child, my mother, and me. All together. Hand in hand, today I walk.

Walking amongst the trees is refreshing! Great poem.
